  5. I "recorded" a series of parameter changes in a journal.txt file then replayed the journal in Revit and recorded the result.

Ariel: depending on how you have your parameters set up you can either hook up a controller (http://buildz.blogspot.com/2010/12/parametric-patterns-clearnames.html) or use the slider add-in for Vasari (http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Vasari/enu/Community/Work_in_Progress/Parameter_Sliders), and record what is going on on your screen
